Why Risk Your Life

Harriet was one of the few great people that sacrifices themselves, to save other people. She knows the feelings of being a slave, so she knows that the slaves were in pain and were suffering. Although she was free, she knew that she had the ability to save the slaves from the torturement, so she did it.  She was a great woman that is not selfish and is willing to save people she doesn't even know, just because she knows what it feels like. If I were in her shoes, I would never go to save those people I don't even know. I would think that I am free, why should I risk my life to save people I don't know? If I got caught, I would be tortured, and put to death. So now, I am free, I would stay home, and do whatever I want. I am actually that selfish.

  1. Amber,

Your journal entries should be about 200 words or more. Most of yours are significantly less than this. I will start deducting points if you do not write enough for each entry.

If you can't think of what to write, remember that the prompt is just a starting point. You can include your own thoughts and feelings about the topic, or write about something different, but related to the topic. What does it make you think of?

    You can do it!
